Conejo Valley Senior Concerns kicked off its annual Bargain Boutique holiday season Thursday with a clearance sale offering all store merchandise at half-price.

The sale runs through Nov. 25 at the store behind the Human Services Building, 80 E. Hillcrest Drive.

Senior Concerns holds the holiday sale to clear out its store so it can stock it with winter merchandise, such as warmer clothing and Christmas tree ornaments.

The Bargain Boutique thrift shop is a major income producer for Senior Concerns.

It brings in more than $100,000 a year for the 25-year-old nonprofit organization, which provides quality-of-life programs for area seniors with special needs, said board member Bob Knapp.

Proceeds from the thrift shop help support Senior Concerns programs, including Meals on Wheels, the Fitzgerald Senior Day Support Center, Senior Advocates and the Safe Return personal identification program.
