Medicine Man at Bahai’ Faith

* Bahai’ Faith will host a worship service Sunday in Oxnard that will feature a cultural performance by Peter Catches, an Oglala Lakota medicine man. Catches and his wife, Cindy, are visiting from Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. He will sing ancient sacred songs of the Lakota people. Cindy Catches will also present prayers and teachings from various religious traditions. St. Paschal Thanksgiving Mass

Psychologist to Offer Parents Help

* Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Ventura will present the parent seminar “Holding On While You Let Go” Sunday. The seminar, from 7 to 8:45 p.m., will focus on how to help teenagers deal with stress and anger, how to teach teens to complete chores without yelling and nagging, plus other information.
