Voice of Experience Has Advice for Tiger
So Tiger Woods is a little perturbed with the PGA Tour. I’m 80 years old and have been around the block a few times, so I should be able to impart to him a few words of wisdom:
1. Fifty years from now when your name is a distant memory, there will be a young golfing phenom who will be going through the same trials and tribulations. You are not the first and you will not be the last.
2. Although you have given a lot to the game, I can name at least 25 golfers who have done the same. You didn’t make the game of golf; the game of golf made you.
3. Your popularity comes not only from the skills of your game but also your smile and demeanor. Don’t let this change. Fame can be fleeting.
4. Be smart. Look up the word “symbiosis.” The next time you wash your hands, look and see that one hand washes the other.
