Titans Lose Campbell for 4-6 Weeks
Cal State Fullerton junior guard Brandon Campbell will be sidelined four to six weeks because of a sprained ligament in his left knee.
Campbell was injured midway through the first half in the Titans’ season-opening loss Friday at Oregon State. Campbell and teammate Chris Smith collided as they went for a rebound. Campbell was helped off the court and did not return to the game.
He is expected to miss at least six games. Fullerton plays at UC Riverside in a nonconference game Saturday night.
Campbell started all 27 games last season, averaging 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds.
The Titans’ top player, Ike Harmon, was suspended indefinitely last week for an undisclosed violation of team policy.
Another Titan player, freshman forward Keith Brooks, remains sidelined with a back injury.
