Bargain hunters will soon have a new place to shop.
Goodwill Industries will open its first store in the city at 10 a.m. Friday. The 3,500-square-foot outlet, at 1341 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., was dedicated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday.
A spokesman said the store reflects an organization-wide effort to upgrade the nonprofit outlets into a more inviting shopping environment than traditional Goodwil stores.
The new location will also sell new merchandise in addition to secondhand items.
