SYLMAR — Los Angeles police arrested a 32-year-old man Monday night in connection with last week’s attack on two officers during a traffic stop.
Raymond Cruz was arrested about 7:30 p.m. at a home in the 13100 block of Herrick Avenue, Police Det. Bob Vanina said.
Cruz was apprehended after officers surrounded the house and detectives persuaded Cruz by phone to surrender, he said.
Cruz was booked on suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer, authorities said.
He allegedly fired up to five shots at two officers last Tuesday, after they pulled his car over for a traffic stop in North Hills. None of the shots hit the officers.
