Lectures and One Tour Still Available

Share

Pasadena’s ninth annual Craftsman Weekend takes place at various venues, with headquarters at the Masonic Temple, 200 S. Euclid Ave. Some events already are sold out; those available include Saturday’s four lectures (admission to each is $15) and six restoration seminars (admission, $20) at the Pasadena Hilton Hotel, 168 S. Los Robles Ave.

Hard-hat workshops ($40), in which inspection and restoration techniques will be demonstrated, will be offered Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon at the Greene & Greene-designed Samuel Merrill House.

Some tickets ($40) remain for Sunday’s drive-yourself tour of six private homes in the English Arts and Crafts-style, including an impressive stucco and wood shingle Craftsman house by architect Myron Hunt (designer of the Rose Bowl and Huntington Library). Owners Frank and Marsha Easterbrook bought it 11 years ago, impressed by its livability. “What we love about the house is its warmth and coziness,” said Marsha Easterbrook.
