The Los Angeles City Council offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two young men suspected in the hit-and-run death of a teenager.

Danielle Gregorio, 18, was killed at 4 a.m. last Saturday in San Pedro. She was riding in a compact car that was hit by a vehicle speeding through a red light at 1st Street and Cabrillo Avenue faster than 85 mph, said Los Angeles Police Officer Eduardo Funes.

The suspects abandoned the car and ran away, making no attempt to help the seriously injured occupants of the compact, Funes said.

The two suspects are described as Latinos, possibly gang members, in their early 20s. They were wearing white shirts and dark baggy pants, Funes said, and the driver had earrings in both ears.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the LAPD’s South Traffic Division at (213) 485-7336 or (323) 290-6063.
