Library Will Help Users Get Passports

Share

Travelers will be able to apply for passports at the Oxnard Public Library starting Oct. 23.

The library will become the fourth spot in the county to help people obtain passports. The other locations are the Simi Valley and Oxnard post offices and Fillmore City Hall.

Offering the service will make obtaining a passport more convenient, while drawing new customers to the library, said Barbara J. Murray, the library’s director.

“They see the other things we have to offer and become library users,” Murray said.

Services will be available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The library is at 251 South A St.
