Judge Orders Trial in Double Slaying
A judge Wednesday ordered a man to stand trial in connection with the murder of his best friend’s parents last year in Garden Grove.
Gerald Johnson will be arraigned Oct. 23 on charges that he murdered Jose R. Najera and Elena Castro Najera in their home Dec. 28.
The 20-year-old Villa Park man also is charged with three special circumstances, including two of murder during a burglary and multiple murder. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
