PLACENTIA
Santos Rubalcava, a reprographics technician, was given the Employee Recognition Award by Mayor Michael L. Maertzweiler for his record of service in the city.
Rubalcava joined the city in June 1983 as a part-time maintenance aide and worked his way up to the Finance Department, where he began as a part-time assistant. During his part-time tenure with the city, Santos obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Cal State Fullerton.
The Employee Recognition Program award alternates among sworn police, maintenance and general employees.
