N.J. Prep Player Truly Big Man on Campus

The NFL’s largest active player is Detroit Lion tackle Aaron Gibson, who weighs 380 pounds and stands 6 feet 4.

He’s a runt compared to Reny Nunes, who weighs 517 pounds and stands 6-10. And get this: Nunes is a 17-year-old two-way lineman on the Roselle Park (N.J.) High football team.

Several universities--including Syracuse, Kentucky, Maryland and Louisville--have sent scouts to see him on the field, or have contacted the high school about him. But none has offered Nunes, a senior, a scholarship.
