LAGUNA BEACH
The Planning Commission approved a request from Cox/Sprint PCS to build and operate four panel antennas on an industrial building on Laguna Canyon Road at its meeting last week.
Commissioners voted 3 to 2, with Bob Chapman and Elizabeth Pearson dissenting. The cellular antennas, proposed for 2075-2097 Laguna Canyon Road, need to be approved by the City Council before they can be built.
The applicant also wants to build an equipment area within the one-story building. Cox/Sprint PCS representatives say the antennas will be hidden by screens that will match the building.
