WESTMINSTER
Planning commissioners voted 3 to 1 at a recent meeting to approve the demolition of a vacant theater building for the construction of a Circuit City store at 530 Westminster Mall Road. The plan calls for a one-story, 34,000-square-foot building, along with additional signs.
A request from the Westminster Christian Assembly church was continued to the Oct. 25 meeting. The original plans include operating a day-care center out of a single-family residence at 9552 Belty Circle.
The center, which is next to the church, could accommodate as many as 30 children, from infant to 3 years old, and the business hours would be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
