Martino Helps Chapman Beat Hope International

Scott Martino scored four goals as Chapman shut out visiting Hope International, 7-0, in nonconference men’s soccer Monday.

Colin McLean, Jorge Zarate and Brent Shoji scored Chapman’s first three goals and Dan Wittmers had two assists. Jeff Stewart had one save for Chapman (6-9-1), which outshot Hope International, 20-2.

Hope International is 2-10.

Fullerton wins--Hye Yoon Jung shot a nine-over-par 79 to help the Hornets win an Orange Empire Conference quad meet at Mesa Linda in Costa Mesa.

Fullerton’s score was 342. Orange Coast was second at 352, Irvine Valley was third (376) and Golden West fourth (395).

Julie Gutierrez-Farley of Orange Coast had the second-best score with an 85. Hyun Han of Fullerton shot an 86.
