The Newport Beach parent company of Pacific Mercantile Bank reported third-quarter net income of $217,000, or 3 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $705,000, or 34 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Total assets as of Sept. 30 were $151 million.
