Mississippi State running back Dicenzo Miller, hospitalized for two nights because of stomach pains, traveled with the team Friday and might play tonight against Louisiana State.

Miller, the team’s leading rusher, spent Wednesday and Thursday nights in Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Miss., after complaining of severe pain in the lower right side of his abdomen.

Doctors feared appendicitis, but that was ruled out and he was released from the hospital in time to make the trip to Baton Rouge, La., with the rest of the 13th-ranked Bulldogs.

Miller ranks fourth in the Southeastern Conference with an average of 83.2 rushing yards a game. He is coming off back-to-back 100-yard rushing games against Florida and Auburn.

Minnesota running back Tellis Redmon, who was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, had the charges dismissed.

Redmon, who was stopped by police on Oct. 7 after officers allegedly saw a television playing inside his 1999 Honda Accord, was arrested after officers discovered that his drivers license was revoked and he had outstanding warrants from a previous case.

Redmon was the third Golden Gopher player to be arrested. Kicker Mike Albert was charged with drunken driving on Sept. 24 and linebacker DaVonta Bell was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly punching a man on Sept. 10.

Montana State assistant coach John Rushing, who was suspended Thursday pending an investigation into his role in a barroom brawl in which a gun was fired, was reinstated by the school.

“The university, in cooperation with the police, [is] continuing the investigation, but indications are that John was more a victim than a participant,” Coach Mike Kramer said.
