Due to the illness of one of its members, the Leipzig String Quartet, scheduled to open the Da Camera society’s Chamber Music in Historic Sites season today, has canceled its U.S. tour.

The German ensemble will be replaced by the group of young string players who make up the Rossetti String Quartet on Friday night at 8 in the Doheny Mansion on the downtown campus of Mount St. Mary’s College.

The ensemble--violinists Nina Bodnar and Henry Gronnier, violist Thomas Diener and cellist Eric Gaenslen,--will play Beethoven’s Quartet in B-flat, Opus 18, No. 6, the Ravel Quartet and the Quartet in E-flat, Opus 51, by Dvorak.
