Driver Killed in Freeway Accident
A 39-year-old La Crescenta man was killed early Friday after losing control of his pickup truck in the rain in a single-vehicle accident on the Ventura Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
Glenn Francis Einarsen, 39, was driving his Chevrolet truck east on the freeway near De Soto Avenue in Woodland Hills when it spun out of control, ran off the road and hit a tree just after 1 a.m.
Paramedics responded, but Einarsen died at the scene.
Authorities are not sure what caused Einarsen to lose control of the vehicle. An investigation is continuing.
