Community Clinic Opens on Pearblossom Highway
The opening of a 3,000-square-foot outpatient clinic to serve a community 40 minutes from any other was celebrated Friday by health and county officials.
The Littlerock Community Clinic will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays to treat children as well as adults.
“This is an underserved community that had to drive a good 40 minutes to Lancaster for medical services,” said Patricia Russell, a spokeswoman for Supervisor Mike Antonovich. “There are a lot of poor people out here, many of them families, who will benefit from this.”
The clinic marks the third partnership between the Antelope Valley Health Care District and Los Angeles County. A couple of years ago, the two organizations teamed up to open the Palmdale Primary Care Center and last year opened the Lake Los Angeles Community Clinic.
The Littlerock Community Clinic is at 8201 Pearblossom Highway, at the northeast corner of 82nd Street East.
