Labor Day Closings
Today marks the celebration of Labor Day, set aside to recognize labor’s contribution to the nation. It is the traditional end of summer.
* Government and business: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries and many businesses are closed.
* Transportation: MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules and Metrolink trains are not running.
* Trash: Regular Monday trash collection for Los Angeles residents will be postponed until Tuesday.
