COSTA MESA
The City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a resolution to raise firefighters’ salaries.
The proposed 3.5% increase would cost the city $212,640 in salary and $94,060 in salary-related benefits annually.
The city and the Costa Mesa Firefighters Assn. are in the first year of a four-year agreement that began in July.
City officials and association representatives met in August to discuss the raise, which would be adjusted between now and March, when total compensation is calculated.
