The great cowboy star turned media mogul Gene Autry investigates a bank robbery aboard a riverboat in “Ridin’ on a Rainbow,” the latest entry in the film series “Gene Autry: 20th Century Cowboy.” Smiley Burnette, Mary Lee and, of course, Champion co-star. A discussion with former child star Johnny Crawford (of TV’s “The Rifleman”) follows the screening.

“Women I’ve Kissed for Money” isn’t quite as risque as it sounds. Actor Stephen Collins, who plays the clean-cut dad on the WB’s “Seventh Heaven,” will perform this piece for the Visiting Artists Series at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Collins has been on TV and stage for more than 25 years, and the show shares his musings on kissing in the line of duty, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Placido Domingo sings two acts from Wagner operas with conductor Valery Gergiev and the Kirov Orchestra three times this week at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The celebrated tenor, who is also conducting “Aida” with Los Angeles Opera this month, appears with colleagues from the Kirov Opera and other international houses, in concert versions of Act 1 of “Die Walkure” and Act 2 of “Parsifal.”
