Woman Slain, Man Injured

A woman in her 40s was found dead in her Anaheim apartment Thursday with her live-in boyfriend lying next to her, critically injured, police said.
Dispatchers received a call about 4:50 p.m. from a man who said he was a relative, said Sgt. Rick Martinez, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department.
“He called, frantic, saying he found them,” Martinez said. “The type of weapon or type of injuries inflicted, we’re not releasing. What we will say is that from the injuries the female victim sustained, there was a struggle.”
The incident happened in an apartment complex on West Ball Road, he said. The names of the two victims were not released.
The man was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was listed in critical but stable condition late Friday.
