Ventura County Community Foundation will offer two programs this fall for leaders of nonprofit organizations.

Navigating nonprofit mergers and collaborations will be the focus of a 9 a.m. to noon workshop Sept. 21. A consultant from the Washington-based National Center for Nonprofit Boards will discuss what motivates nonprofits to consider mergers, common roadblocks and how to avoid problems. The cost is $35.

The foundation will begin an eight-session course Oct. 11 on managing a community-based nonprofit organization. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Wednesday of each month.
