A 103-year-old American who stole the Olympic flag at the 1920 Summer Games gave it back today to the International Olympic Committee.

“It’s no good to me,” Haig “Harry” Prieste told reporters in explaining why, after all these years, he returned the flag. The oldest living American Olympian, he said, “I ain’t gonna be around too long.”

IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch said the flag would be taken to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
