The Planning Commission has approved the addition of a tool-rental center at Home Depot on Hillcrest.
The company was given permission Monday to add a 2,094-square-foot indoor center and an additional outdoor storage area for larger equipment on the condition that the company work with the city staff to develop a parking plan.
Commissioner Bob Gaebel said the panel is considering requiring more employees to park behind the store on Hillcrest and ensure workers keep the parking lot clear of shopping carts to open up more spaces.
The commission also approved a petition from Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Studio to open a dance studio in Crown Valley Retail Center on Marguerite Parkway.
