HIGH SCHOOL NOTEBOOK
There was confusion and amusement last week when offensive guard Sean O’Reilly-Jones of Harvard-Westlake and nose guard Gary Porter of Channel Islands looked like Siamese twins lying on the ground.
O’Reilly-Jones’ facemask got hooked under Porter’s shoulder pads. While an official tried to untangle the two, teammates were giggling.
“The refs told me to stay still,” Porter said.
Added O’Reilly-Jones: “I was making sure they didn’t call a holding penalty on me.”
Soon, the two were split up.
“It was funny watching him on film,” Channel Islands’ Daniel O’Quinn said of Porter.
