GARDEN GROVE

Trustees of the Garden Grove Unified School District unanimously voted Tuesday to adopt the state’s conflict-of-interest codes, recommended by the county Board of Supervisors’ counsel.

Every two years, government and other public agencies are required to review their own conflict-of-interest codes and decide whether any changes are required to comply with state laws.

The state Fair Political Practices Commission recently adopted “model” codes to make it easier for the district and other public agencies to conform to laws and simplify reporting requirements to county governments.

Those codes require certain staff members, including board members and superintendents, to disclose personal information, including land holdings and sources of income throughout the district.
