The Fire Department is offering a free crash course in light search-and-rescue techniques for residents Oct. 7 at the Central Net Training Center.
The program, presented as a cooperative effort between the Community Emergency Response Team and the Fire Department’s Emergency Services Office, runs from 7:45 a.m. to noon and features search-and-rescue lessons that nonprofessionals can use.
Interested residents must complete a registration form and submit it to the Fire Department CERT Program, 2000 Main St., Huntington Beach, CA 92648. Registration forms can also be faxed to (714) 374-1591.
