FULLERTON
A 15-minute parking zone will be established outside the Western Pacific Fullerton Medical Clinic at 218 E. Commonwealth Ave. to accommodate the 330 patients who go there to pick up their regular treatments of methadone.
Existing regulations limit parking in that area to two hours, but open spaces near the clinic are hard to find because of the number of apartments nearby. City staff recommended the 15-minute parking zone to allow patients to stop by the clinic, meet with a counselor and pick up their medication--a process that takes between 10 and 15 minutes. The City Council voted last week to approve the parking zone.
