Justice, Not Mercy
* In its Sept. 26 editorial (“Mercy of a Sort”) The Times complains that Gov. Gray Davis is not properly concerned about “mercy” for convicted murderer Rose Ann Parker. Excuse me? I thought the whole purpose of the criminal justice system was to be concerned with justice, not mercy. Silly me!
