Bloomberg News

Intimate Brands Inc., owner of the Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works stores, hired former soft-drink executive Tracey Thomas Travis as chief financial officer, filling a post vacant for several months. Travis was CFO of Rexam Beverage Can Americas, a division of London-based Rexam, and had previously worked for PepsiCo Inc., Intimate Brands said. Travis replaces Michael Newman, who announced his resignation in November after less than a year on the job. The appointment comes after Intimate Brands said in February that fiscal fourth-quarter profit fell 21% as the company reduced prices to clear inventory. The retailer also said then that fiscal first-quarter profit would fall from a year earlier because of lower-than-expected February sales. Shares of Intimate Brands, based in Columbus, Ohio, rose 65 cents to close at $15.75 on the NYSE.
