TRAIL BLAZER NOTES
Wallace usually doesn’t have too many words for reporters, but he had a few for TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager after Thursday’s loss to the Lakers at Staples Center.
After being ejected in the fourth quarter, Wallace returned to the Trail Blazers’ locker room to watch the game on TV. That’s when he heard Sager report that Wallace and Davis had been in an altercation with a camera person.
“You were wrong for that one,” Wallace told Sager. “Don’t make things up. It was cool for you to say cats got ejected, blah, blah, blah, but to add the other part in is something you don’t know anything about.”
Sager offered an apology and Wallace told him to do it on camera. Sager said he would if Wallace joined him, but the player refused.
“I wasn’t with you when you said it,” Wallace said.
