Man Held on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

A 40-year-old Lancaster man was in very critical condition at Antelope Valley Hospital on Wednesday with injuries suffered in an assault, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies arrested Christopher Scoggins, 19, of Lancaster on suspicion of attempted murder, officials said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives would not release the name of the victim or details about the assault.
The injured man was found about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of West Avenue J-15.
