Group Opposes UC Campus Boundary

An agricultural group says University of California and Merced County planners should find another spot for the UC campus community.
UC is preparing to build its campus just south of Lake Yosemite, with opening set for 2004. Plans call for the campus community to extend south of the school and east of Lake Road.
California Women for Agriculture wants to preserve farmland east of Lake Road and north of Yosemite Avenue, considered among the most fertile in the U.S.
