Camarillo’s Al-Agba Advances to Semifinals
Jamil Al-Agba of Camarillo, seeded No. 13, defeated 10th-seeded Pramod Dabir of Saratoga, 7-6 (4), 7-5, on Friday to advance to the semifinals of the U.S. Tennis Assn. Boys’ 16 Super National Hard Court Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Seventh-seeded Justin Montgomery of Oxnard lost, 6-1, 6-3, to fourth-seeded Brendan Evans of Key Biscayne, Fla.
Also at Kalamazoo, ninth-seeded Prakash Amritraj of Encino lost, 6-2, 6-1, to fifth-seeded Todd Widom of Coral Springs, Fla. in a quarterfinal at the USTA Boys’ 18 Super National Hard Court Championships.

In San Diego, Riza Zalameda of Los Angeles defeated Robyn Baker of Palm Desert, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, and Kady Pooler of Laguna Niguel lost to Alexandra Podkolzina of Concord, 6-1, 6-0, in the quarterfinals of the USTA Girls’ 16 Super National Hard Court Championships.

Ninth-seeded Jessica Nguyen of Chatsworth lost, 7-5, 7-6 (4), to Brintney Larson of Orchard Park, N.Y., in the semifinals of the USTA Girls’ 14 Super National Hard Court Championships in College Park, Ga.
