A man shot two people and stabbed a third Friday at a Veterans Affairs hospital.

The victims were treated at the hospital and the suspect was apprehended by police at his Buffalo home soon after the attack. The FBI identified him as Army veteran Samuel Miles Bobo, 39, who had been a patient at the hospital.

The victims were in stable condition, said Arlene Kelly, a spokeswoman at the Department of Veterans Affairs Western New York Health Care System, where the violence occurred.

The gunman shot parking lot attendant Gary Muck with a rifle after he tried to enter the lot the wrong way, authorities said. He then entered the hospital, where he shot and stabbed van driver Mann Pollack Jr., who was able to wrest the gun from him, police said. The assailant then stabbed file clerk John Skyler.
