Ventura police have arrested a parolee in a string of commercial burglaries that started in the city in early July, authorities said Saturday.
Brian Donovan, 37, of Ventura was arrested at a Ventura motel Friday night on suspicion of violating parole and being under the influence of a controlled substance, Ventura Police Lt. Bryan Roberts said.
Donovan is a suspect in 23 burglaries that occurred at businesses on Johnson Drive on the city’s east end, Roberts said. He has not yet been charged in the burglaries, police said.
