San Gabriel Valley Wins Babe Ruth Title Again
Left-hander Chuckie Tiffany pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and four walks in a complete-game 7-1 victory over Loudoun County, Va. to give San Gabriel Valley its second consecutive Babe Ruth World Series championship for 16-year olds, Saturday in Gulfport, Mi.
Scott Nestor hit a three-run home run in a four-run first inning for San Gabriel Valley, which won the title with a different group of players last year.
