Man Electrocuted as He Works on House
A Santa Ana man was electrocuted while using a homemade lamp to work under his house, authorities said Tuesday.
Unable to find a flashlight, Nestor Gonzalez, 51, took the lamp when he crawled under his Flower Street home to make some repairs Monday, police said.
The man’s wife became concerned and called authorities when she didn’t see him for several hours.
Police said it appeared that a live wire from the lamp brushed against the man’s neck as he worked under the house.
