Wrong-Way Driver, Passenger Killed

A 23-year-old Covina woman driving the wrong way on the Ventura Freeway and her passenger were killed early Saturday in a head-on collision near Glendale.
The crash occurred at 3:19 a.m. west of the Glendale Freeway when the driver’s Nissan Sentra slammed into a westbound Honda Del Sol.
The woman and her passenger, a 21-year-old Baldwin Park woman, died at the scene. Their identities were not released.
The other driver, a 33-year-old Pomona man, was critically injured and taken to a local hospital, authorities said.
