Sing for Peace

At this time of global unrest and uncertainty, all of us are looking for comfort and praying for peace. I wonder what would happen if, at every Christmas service, here and around the world, and especially on Christmas Eve, the service was ended with the singing of the “peace song.” Perhaps all of the voices and linked hands could be the catalyst for some sort of miracle.

So that everyone is included, perhaps our Jewish and Muslim friends could somehow incorporate the song into their celebrations of Ramadan and Hanukkah. It is something we could all do together--a sort of United We Sing. It’s free, and it couldn’t hurt. “Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.”
