Hanukkah Wonderland Planned at Park
The Hanukkah Wonderland, sponsored by Chabad of the Conejo, is scheduled for Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Conejo Creek Park near the main Thousand Oaks Library.
This year’s event will pay tribute to the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Fire officials, county police and members of the National Guard will attend as will four members of the Israeli Defense Force.
The festivities will include music, rides, games, kosher food booths, petting zoos, a juggling act and a tour of a Maccabee village. The event will culminate with a menorah kindling festival at dusk.
The event is open to the public and admission is free.
