Residents to See Credit for Trash Hauler Strike
From Times Staff Reports
Residents will receive a one-time credit on their trash bills to compensate them for a strike by garbage collectors in October, officials said.
The credit of $4.03 will be listed in the “payment posted” and “adjustments” lines of Dec. 15 municipal services bills.
The five-day walkout by trash haulers affected about 25 Orange County cities and some unincorporated areas.
Huntington Beach follows the lead of Brea, which approved a credit of $2.38 on residents’ November trash bill to compensate for the strike.
