Help for the Workers

AFL-CIO President John Sweeney is against the House economic stimulus bill because it will help corporations and the “wealthy” (Interview, Opinion, Dec. 9). He wants a bill with more unemployment insurance and health coverage.

I’m confused. Does he want his members to get their jobs back or does he want them to become wards of the state?
