An interim visitors center will open Thursday during Crystal Cove Historic District’s fifth annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony
The event, from 4 to 8 p.m., is sponsored by the Alliance to Rescue Crystal Cove, the Crystal Cove Conservancy, the state Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Crystal Cove Interpretive Assn., which will recruit volunteers.
The center is part of a Parks Department project that includes installing a sewer system and allowing use of part of the area as officials craft a long-term plan for the picturesque coastal strip north of Laguna Beach.
