Female Pedestrian Dies; Police Seek Motorist
A woman died Monday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Garden Grove Boulevard, authorities said.
Pedestrian Christine Veronick, 52, of Garden Grove died at the scene. Police said she was crossing Garden Grove Boulevard at Blackbird Street shortly after 9 a.m. when she was hit by an eastbound Honda Accord, which did not stop.
Police are seeking the driver of the Accord, as well as two motorists believed to have witnessed the incident, said Capt. David Abrecht, a spokesman for the Garden Grove Police Department.
