From Staff and Wire Reports
Huntington Beach was among 16 California cities and government agencies awarded nearly $13 million in loans this week to provide housing for low-income families.
The city received $500,000 to develop a 20-unit senior citizens project.
The money comes from the California Housing Finance Agency’s Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships program, which fosters partnerships between the private and public sectors.
The money must be used to provide inexpensive housing that remains affordable for at least 10 years.
