Police Seek Gunman Who Wounded 2
From Times Staff Reports
Oxnard police were searching Thursday for a gunman who wounded two people in an altercation the night before.
Jesus Campos, 27, and Olivia Blanco, 19, were shot in the back about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of Fir and N streets, said Sgt. Scott Hebert.
It was not clear what prompted the shooting.
Both victims were treated and released at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
Hebert said police were looking into Campos’ connection to a local street gang as a possible motive.
